door panel question?
Were these door panels only in 90-92 camaros? I ordered a new set from classic industries and the pattern is all wrong. I called them back and they are trying to say my interior isn't right. By the way here is my car, its a 1990 IROC. It's still at the paint shop but I should be binging it home soon.

Re: door panel question?
I'm just looking for (mine is a 89 and they don't look like that or mine is a 88 and I've got the same ones.) I just need to know so I can tell them the years to match it up with. I want my interior to look mostly stock and the door panels are a very big part of that. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm starting tommorow. I've got a big pile of new parts and gently used stuff just waiting to go in. I'm starting the power window, lock, and hatch conversion first, but I will definatly post some pics.

Re: door panel question?
My old 87 sport coupe had those panels also.
My 87 and 88 IROCs were different. they had a tweed like fabric on the upper portion that matched the seats.

Re: door panel question?
Thanks for all the feedback. I wonder what is the deciding factor on what car had what door panels? Some had power windows and door locks, but some like mine had manual windows and locks.

Love the paint! A little off topic (OK a lot), but what tires are you running?

Re: door panel question?
I will. Classic Industries said that my panels match the ones they have listed for a 1986 camaro, so I'm sending the ones they sent me back and we will see how they match. When I was in High School my friend had a 1992 RS with the exact same panels. I thought these were the only ones that came in my car.

Re: door panel question?
You have the base interior door panel. The upgraded (split rear seat option) panels are covered completely in cloth.

Re: door panel question?
Anyway, the door panels in question are the '88-'92 base door panels. '87 was similar, but the diagonal ribs were a little different.

Re: door panel question?
Same for my 90 RS. . . black carpet on bottom with the upper material made from the same exact material as the seats?

Re: door panel question?
That would be the "Custom Cloth" interior. Other than matching fabric, the easiest way to tell the difference between the two interior options on the '84-'92 Camaros is the Custom Cloth seats had separate head rests, while the base seats did not.

Re: door panel question?
Yup, I got seperate headrests too.
"Custom Cloth" interior. . .lol Feel so special now. . . too bad somebody ruined my drivers side panel by cutting a square out of it then glued it back in place. . .
And thanks for the info :-)

I'll also add that so far, there doesn't seem to be any aftermarket seat covers or door panels that are just like the originals. They are just similar, and some styles are not available.
