im putting racing seats in my thirdgen, i already ordered them cause they were on sale and they look good but not too *****y, please tell me what you guys think

 

They look comfy but not too ricetastic. The only thing would be to get rid of the logo but i understand how that goes. please update with pictures asap. =)

 

yea the logo doesnt really bother me, i think they look real good, plus they will go good with my all black interior. yea i will post pics when there in

I used to have a Mitsubishi Mirage transverse motor 1.8T that I ran when I was younger that had those exact 3A seats. I had Recaro's in there prior to those, but someone liked them more than me and stole them. I bought these and to my surprise they were slightly more comfortable, and still held me in the seat snug when the G's hit.

yea they look nice.. when i got my racing seats i had to modify the existing seat bracket because the sliders that come with them didnt work.. if you have to do this.. here is what ive learned.. on the holes that you drill in the rear to bolt the seats on.. grid down the head so they will slide all the way back..

 

Better than Recaros?....I'm impressed. I've wanted some, but can't bring myself to spend the $ on something I've never even sat in.

The "r i c e r" logo on the headrest is what turns me off....Recover? Black dye?

My interior is black & tan too, so I look forward to seeing how yours turns out.

i like those seats, myself i wanted some 4th gens but it almost seems cheaper to buy aftermarket seats. with my luck anyways.

Where did you pick them up at? What brand are they and how much did they cost? My seats are worn out so I have been looking. I priced Recaros and they were way out of my budget. Thanks,

I already have 4th gen seats, so I'd wanna KNOW they are/feel/hold me better, before spending the $$$.

Summit has some.... www.summitracing.com I had Scat Rally Recliners before, and they were NICE! I don't see the Rally Recliners listed though...But the Scat Procars are only $149.

 

i wasnt saying do the stiching in your car....i was talking about mine, of course there would be a gta stiching in order for your car

 

When I first came in this thread, my first thought when I saw the seats, was to just pull the headrest fabric off, get a new piece made, then I realized it isn't a simple headrest...But Smmit has Scat seats for the same price & some cheaper. But still, not gonna pay for a seat that turns out to bea "brick" to sit on, without trying it first.

Any updates on the seats? I think I have a buyer for my tan 4th gen seats, which really encourages me to get new black seats.

they have em in cloth and vinyl for the same price, personally i'm getting the black vinyl ones.

 

The Summmit seats are a lot cheaper & you KNOW how your buying from. Not an online import store...

For the import store price, I'd just get Scat seats. I had Rallye Recliners years ago. GREAT seats!
