Interior Deadning and Cooling Question
OK so Im thinking about wrapping my interior with Dynamat or rammat or some other type of sound deadner..my question is, are they effective when considering lowering the interior temperatures?..if these don't offer much heat insulation does anyone have suggestions to what I could do that would bring the interior temp down a bit...
Ive been reaserching these companies and they offer "special" materials that are more for thermal insulation..has anyone used anything like this before?..any other suggestions are thankfully accepted
Thanks in advance for your response

I use Second Skin products. My dealings with them have been excellent. They screwed up an order and sent the wrong thing one time. I sent an email and they had sent out the correct item immediately at no cost and let me keep the first thing.
They sell products for what you have in mind.

I used the Damplifier, Firewall, and Heat Wave< with a layer of Overkill as well on my firewall.

Re: Interior Deadning and Cooling Question
Can't really say on the difference it made since the car's not done yet. Still working on the rest of the interior. Just getting to adding deadening to the floorboards now.
I did drive it a few times last year and it seemed to make a noticeable difference as far as heat. Used to be that the floor pan especially around the transmission tunnel would get quite warm. The parts I hadn't gotten to yet were still warm, but the covered areas weren't. Again it's hard to tell the overall effect since the only interior in the car was the dash and front seats. All plastics and carpet were out.
Couple pictures from when I did the firewall. The goal was to do enough to where I could put the dash back, and still be able to meet up with what I wanted to put on the floor boards, which is where I am at now.

I used it on my daily driver Maxima, did the entire trunk and that alone made a noticeable difference in how quiet the car was inside.
