Questions on trunk area

i really don't know what would be more approiate of this thread, if it s hould be in audio or here.

My uncle is going to be getting rid of his sub and amp and said he would give it to me and it's inclosed in a box in the rear of his 4th gen.. my question is, is since it's not in a specific shaped box, and it's just a square, would it fit in the floor like his, or is the 3rd gen rear floor smaller?..

If i'm being to vaige please let me know where i need to be more specific

Re: Questions on trunk area

it really depends on the box itself. Some people build them big some small. Some use 1 sub some 2 or 3. If its not too much of a hassle try to take it out of his and see if it fits in yours. Or you can take some measurements.

Re: Questions on trunk area

yea my reason for the post instead of measureing and test fitting and all that is because he lives 200 miles from me, and when i was up there he just told me when my cousin came to disconnect it that i could have it, so we couldn't test fit, and the whoe measureing thing would've been a little hard because the wires and all that other stuff

the box itself in his car hug's the bottom portion of his trunk area, from the bottom of the slant to the trunk lock side
