About door seals
Hi
Below there's a pic of my driver's door seals. Looks weird to me.
Questions are:
1) is it normal the cyan marked tear? If so why? If not, why I have it? :/
2) same question for the red marked tear
3) in the yellow area the seal is a bit offset/detached from the metal. Water does not come in, but is it ok anyway?
Does anybody have a picture of a stock/healthy door seal?
thank you very much

Re: About door seals
No, they are not supposed to seperate, that's the seam from two pieces being glued together to make one coming apart. The adhesive has gone bad at the seams and it's seperating. Not positive about the yellow. I drove my Bronco today, I'll look at Camaro when wife gets home.

It's pretty tight on mine but I'd say if it's not leaking not to be to worried about it.

I'd say you are in a if it's not broke don't fix it scenario with your seals. Mine look better than yours but leak like a broken faucet. I'd trade you in a heart beat lol.

I've heard new seals are hit or miss unless you spend the extra money on gm original, if yours doesn't leak I'd thank whoever you wanna thank and just save for the new seals and wait till you have an issue to buy new ones.
