Am I just a slow learner, or is the smart way to remove it : remove all screws for upper piece..remove ebrake lever completely, remove shifter..then comfortably remove the upper console..unbolt the lower console and remove.
I just about turned my upper and lower into a 4 piece mod in my efforts..till I got smart and unbolted the e-brake

Re: Center Console
Just loosen the E-brake,far enough to stop it from grabbing the brakes, (theres an adjustment somewhere) from it grabbing the back brakes.. I almost did this with my white camaro but it came out just barely. on the wrecked rs with 25k miles im using for parts, I didn't have to loosen the e brake at all so that means some one has played with my ebrake to adjust it at one time.

Re: Center Console
Of course, after having done all this, I began to wonder..why the heck do they even put e-brakes on cars anymore?? I can't name one person that uses one outside of Rally racers. MY cable is shot from lack of use and the E-brake has been inop for years. Speaking of..anyone know who might have a good replacement? Gonna call Hawks after they get back to work on the 14th.
