horn problem please read
recently when i turn my wheel to the left at one dead spot whenever i pass it my horn goes off/turns on. if i keep turning it turns off and when i turn back pass that one point horn goes off/turns on.
so stupid
what part would be shorting/grounding the horn?
even does it when the horn button is off so its something deeper/internal

Mine was doing that.Happened after some work on the steering coloum,so i think its a pinched wire down there somewhere.I have'nt had a chance to have a look yet.I've just got it disconnected.

First have a look where the coloum harness goes down underneath, look for the simple areas first.Always easier than pulling everything apart.

There is a spring loaded contact in there. If you are getting some bind that is causing that spring to collapse, or the contact to jump around that could happen. Or the spring is broken.
I'm trying to remember, but 12v comes from that spring loaded rotary contact, then goes to the two horn buttons. Aren't there wires that run between the two buttons, then to the center of the column? So you are really just grounding the horn circuit with the buttons.
I would start by looking behind that center panel in the wheel. That is the only area you should have any movement.
I was poking around in there one day and managed to break that rotary contact so I have no horn at all now. Be sure to be careful with that part.

The rotary contact part is in the "HELP" product line at the auto parts stores. Cost about 6-8 bucks.
