Black or Tan carpet???

Im refinishing the interior in my black '85 T/A. Ive painted all the trim peices black and left the dash peices grey and the console grey. ive bought a pair of tan 4th gen T/A leather seats, which look absolutely great in it but im wondering what color carpet i should buy, would tan look better or black? the door panels are black GTA panels. i know alot of 3rd gens had twotone interior where the carpet and seats where one color and all the trim and headliner was another color. does anyone have any pics of of tan seats with black carpet or some with tan carpet? id like to compare pics and opinions and see which one looks better before i make a carpet decision. Thanks y'all

i kinda did the same thing your doing. im assuming you have gold birds decals??? well your interior is all black like your cars exterior. i would make the carpet black and everything else for that matter. then the tan seats would really pop against it. add some gold bird decals if you havent. and that would look real sharp!!! my iroc was all tan inside well i restored it this past year and since the bodys white with alot of black trim as in grilles and lovers and hood ornaments. i followed that scheme. i made the interior all black 100% then added white seats to it with black inserts and it really fits well. so i would do black carpet if i where you. and eventually you can get black floor mats with a gold bird embroidery to.

Yep, thats what im going for, black and gold. Im gonna paint the lower ground effects gold and the wheels gold with gold bird center caps and get all the gold decals including the hood bird. it just aint a Trans Am without a hood bird or t-tops. all three of my T/As (79,85,97) have hood birds and t-tops. black and gold is my favorite color scheme, i have a '79 Bandit T/A that was my first car and i absolutly love it and thats when and how i fell in love with black and gold cars. thanks for the carpet advice
