Speedo Removal and other Question
Hey everyone.
I have some hazing on my lenses that go over my gauges. its on the inside and i cant figure out how to get the grey trim off. i have the lovely and useless haynes manual that tells me nothing. any help would be great.
Also, im thinking that the bird is supose to have hi-beams but when i pull back on the lever nothing happends. im thinking that the lever has a glitch. the cruise button works as well at the wipers and turn signals.. thoughts.?
thanks.
Anyone knowing the hp/tq specs for my 350tpi i would love the help. i read what was on the main page but i have also read 4 other different amouts.

Re: Speedo Removal and other Question
I'd go by this site's tech information on the home page for your hp & tq numbers. Or put it on a dyno.
As far as the cluster is concerned, you need to remove your dash pad (a 7mm nut driver will do the trick best). There are about 8 or so screws just under the lip of the dash, and 4 long ones. in the defroster vent. The vent screws should be 7mm too on a 91, but they were phillips on my dad's 86. Don't drop them in the vent. Be careful lifting it off so you don't crack it. Remove the kick panel on the driver's side (you may be able to get it out without this step ... I can't remember 100% ... again the 7mm nut driver here), and you might have to remove the piece above the heat/ac controls that usually has the fog light switch on it (if equipped)... again, the 7mm nut driver. Then, using that handy 7mm nut driver, remove all the screws that hold on the gauge cluster bezel. Then the cluster simply pulls out. A few phillips screws, and the clear piece will come off. I hope it cleans up for you. Reinstall in reverse order.
As far as the hi-beams are concerned, does your blue "headlight" icon pop up on the dash when you pull the switch? That one is probably better of posting in electronics.
