Ok before you say do a search, i have and only mainly seen firebirds.
So i just got my 4th gen console and been tearing p the old console (were the radio was) so it can fit. does anybody have pics and info with this? im having a little trouble and dont want to be the only one to look dumb doing it.

Me too!!! I have been toying with putting a 4thgen center console in my 86 IROC <=cupholder-envy=> And I'm not sure which center console can be made to work with the thirdgen dash!! (Camaro or firebird?) Someone HAS to know the answers to these questions!!!

Yes i been looking for the same info! i got my 2002 console in and i felt dumb cause i also cut my old console were the radio area was and didnt fit so now i gotta wait for hawks to mail me my firebird radio pod

Can the radio/AC portion of the 3rd gen console, be cut off, to fit a 4th gen console? Making it a"hybrid" console?

 

i dont think so unless you do some major modding. i tried it with my 2002 console and it didnt work out so well so i had to stop and order a firebird radio pod and i just got it and now need camaro owners to start helping. all though ik camaro guy has a 4th gen console which looks like a 3rd gen radio section from his 3rd gen must got a earlier year console then what i bought

 

4th gen Firebird 2 cup console + thirdgen firebird radio/hvac pod = a good fit

I think part of it is that 4th Camaro dashes basically suck in comparison to 4th gen firebird dashes. Just my opinoin..

 

you dont need to trim the dash or the pod.
get the console bolted up, then jam the pod in there and bolt it up the best way you see fit.
every car fits different here and there.

 

ok i tried jamming my radio pod in but theres to air flow vents do i need to cut them out heres al ink to the pic, the vents are circled in red
