Light bulb and console lid problem

I'd like to know what bulb goes in the trunk light area and how because it's really weird to me. Does it go into this round thing or what?

The long metal piece that holds onto my console lid collides with my console box. When i put it up all the way, part of it prevents me from putting the lid down without pushing it in and his has really marked up my console. What can I do?

Re: Light bulb and console lid problem

The bulb number for my '83 Z28 is 561 but I'm not sure if it was changed for later models or models with the hatch pull down.

On the console lid i have a similar issue with mine. Over time the slot the rod goes in becomes elongated allowing the rod end (the "L" shaped part) to come out. I'm not sure of what repair could be done short of finding a console top section with less wear or grafting plastic to return the slot to a shorter length.

Oh I see what you're saying. But there shouldn't be a problem with the rod right?
And, does your light cover have a metal piece that lies along the bottom?
