I got a 88 trans am GTA with the digital dash, and I need some help. The dumbass system check is annoying the crap outta me. I replaced the two front fog lights, but the damn thing beeps about every 2 secs and it says R Foglamp, then L Fog and it wont shut the **** up! My other quetsion is about the odometer screen. The back light on the screen does not work anymore, so do I have to get a new screen? or is it just a bulb? thanks

 

f lamp is for front lamps meaning headlights. look at the bulbs and make sure they not mismatched. mine were. i bought 2 new sylvania tru view lamps and it cured the problem. it could also be corrosion on the headlight connectors. as for the odom the bumb can be replaced. its a small halgen bulb that costs 10 bucks. i tried to get away with a 194 but its not bright enuf. so i bought the 10 dollar halogen bulb and its fine.

 

Thanks you very much. I was going to get some sylvania silver stars anyway. The two front head lights are mismatched. One is stock and one is not. And you can get the bulb for the screen at auto zone right?

 

i believe so. i got mine at oreillys and they have the same stuff. pull it out just to make sure what it is tho since its so expensive.

 

r lamp is the tail lights. even if they work fine one bulb half shorting can cause a problem too.
