How Do You Guys Like The Tach?
My tach was screwed, it idled at 3500 and as soon as you tapped the gas it just pinned, so I got the $40 Summit special but its actually a pretty alright tach. Especially since the rest were 120+. I really like that spot, a couple days after I did it I went to a car show and saw a bad a** 83 with a big autometer in the same spot, made me more confident on my choice. Its kind of a crappy pic but I'll try to get a better one. -James

Looks fine.Same place I put my tach until I redo the whole gauge cluster.I had a sunpro $28 gauge there until I went to a whiteface gauge. My stock tach does same as yours.I got pics in my vb garage.

Re: How Do You Guys Like The Tach?
Yeah I noticed its a popular spot, someone told me I should have put on the dash, but then its just in the way, I dont really have to take my eyes off the road to see it, plus I was tought to use the sound/feel of the motor, just convenient to know the rpm's especially when your trying to get all the mpg's out of our v8's.

Re: How Do You Guys Like The Tach?
Yeah,to me if it`s driven very much on the streets on the dash is in the way.I even had to move my satalite radio cause it obstructed my view.I only say this cause I`ve almost had a wreck driving my wifes car with her BS hanging from the rearview

Most gauges are made in china ,etc even the big names. Even snap on tools are made from global parts assembled in the USA.

That looks good. What, you dont like driving around with the "Hello kitty" Stuff hanging from the rearview mirror? It might show people you have a feminine side... Then again, maybe not!!! LOL

Yeah I know what you mean, I love how in my Sport Coupe everyone is always like "why does it say we're doin 25?" and I say "thats my tach man" all I get is "what? no s***." But I also like the look of the aftermarket tach. Just looks like it was meant to be there.

My '86 has no RPM tach so when people want to look for it to see how many RPM's I'm pushing I tell them that all you have to do is "feel" it.

Mine does not have a tach in it. It's an original Sport Coupe. There is a black round plastic dummy guage in there. I like it actually

Re: How Do You Guys Like The Tach?
It must have been an option. The funny part is, this car has a lot of options like Power windows/doors/seat/mirrors, rear defrost, fog lights, etc... but no tach

Ya, what people don't realize is that the spedometer has nothing to do with how fast the car can go. My girlfriend thinks that because her mom's van's spedometer says 140, that it could get that fast. All i could do was laugh.

Re: How Do You Guys Like The Tach?
I want to mount a digital Tach and a vacuum gauge on my pillar.... Keeps it out of my way, and even though they are small, digital is always cool
