Mystery Hurst Shifter

I found this piece in the junkyard today and I need some help to get more info on it. I pulled it from an '84 Camaro 2.8L automatic. I cant figure out how to remove the **** from the shifter. There are no set screws or any other fastener. There is a key slot in the button which I assume to be the removal method however I dont have the key so I need to find one. I have been doing some research but I have not found any other Hurst pistol grips like this one.

It is black plastic, with a chrome button, and two "Hurst" stickers on each side. One has fallen off but I do have it, under the stickers the "hurst" is cast into the plastic.

The big issue is where I can get the key. It appears to be like the old computer case keys but I dont have one handy to check. I'll see if I can track one down tomorrow but if you guys know anything about this shifter, Please let me know, Thanks!
