I believe, www.yearone.com has medium beechwood. Def. do it yourself. I have seen a lot of botched carpet jobs done by "Professional" shops. If you buy molded carpet from year one or some other place, installing it is easy. No one will care for your car like you do!

Re: what is the right price for carpet installed?
I installed new carpet back in august, it isn't difficult at all if you take your time making the cuts in the correct places. The first cut is always the most difficult. After you make the first cut (I chose to cut out the holes for the center console first), try to look through the hole to figure out where to make the next cut. All I needed to cut for the installation was a hole for the rear of the center console (This hole is for the screw that holds the console to the floor), a hole for the shifter and e-brake, and I needed to trim the carpet along the sides (under the door sills). Other than that, all that is needed is to make slits for the seat bolts to stick up through and holes for the seatbelt bolts to go through. I used an ice pick to located the seat belt bolt holes and the seat bolts are easy to locate through the carpet. No modifications were made to the rear piece of carpet.
Also, I purchased my carpet on ebay. I found the best price for premium acc carpet with mass backing to be on ebay for $400 shipped to my door. For the regular carpet without mass backing, they charge $255 shipped. I bought my carpet from autocarpetoriginals1.

I believe you can get the carpet with the console cut out, but I wanted to cut it out myself. Yes, it was the molded carpet...its the same carpet that you would get from classic industries, www.stockinteriors.com, etc.
