I've never heard of a factory digital dash in an 85 bird. Are you sure it wasnt something from dakota digital or nordiscog?

You know It may have been for the '87. I lost track of where I read it as it was in a conversation with a 3rd gen buddy. So the the next question would be if a digital dash could be dropped into a '85?

I have an almost complete berlinetta dash like that, with the standalone radio pedestal thing and all. All i'm missing is the right side controls, I have the left side.

Check the VIN number. This dash system wasn't installed until 1984 and was then only used until April of 86.
The 10th digit of the VIN will tell you what year it is. "E" = 1984, "F" = 85, and so on.
