swap solid rear seat to split rear seat
I'm just wondering if anyone has swapped out the solid rear seat back to the 2 piece split seat back. I know there is a bracket in the middle of the split seats that hold them in place. I took some apart a while back, but I'm just now thinking of converting my rear seats to split. I cannot remember how the bracket is secured. Is it welded, bolted?? I know I will also need to have the latch striker for the drivers side also. If there is a lot needed to do this, I may just pass...I just wanted to know what is involved and if there is a lot of work involved.
Thanks

Spot welded.....I wonder just how hard t would be to line one up, that you cut out of a junkyard car? I supposed if you took PLENTY of measurements from reference points, before cutting it off, you could line it up in the correct spot on your car.
I almost wouldn't be surprised to find out ALL the cars had the brackets, regardless of split or sold seats, to make assembly ru than much quickly & smoothly.

The cars with the solid backseat won't have the bracket. It is spotwelded to the car, but you could probably break the spotwelds with a hammer and chisel from a junkyard car. Or, bring a cordless drill, and drill them out.
