Hi,
I'm looking for the spring for the console lid hinge on my 89 firebird formula.
The GM part number is 1003675 - no longer available.
Has anyone figured out how to modify the hing assembly to use a different spring?

The little metal arm broke on my lid also. I am considering just removing the arm and letting it open on the hinges- maybe use a magnet or velcro to keep it closed. Thoughts?

The latch on front will hold it closed. I would try to find a good lid with the arm not broke, without the spring and arm, all the force is on the 3 hinge screws.
