Re: help with carpet
I guess i don't get it. When I replaced the carpet on my old Camaro RS, I got it from Classic Industries because I had a discount code, but if I remember right, Year One and Summit's prices were pretty similar. If I remember right, I it was under $200 dollars for the passenger area piece, and then I went ahead and replaced the hatch area piece while I was at it, which was around $100(and this was before the discount) which is hardly an arm and a leg considering the improvement it makes. Also, do not(AND I REPEAT DO NOT) take Gumby's advice and dye/paint it. It looks horrible and WILL fade quickly.

Re: help with carpet
First I did a test sample on a small piece to test the wear factor.
Rubbing it with a sanding block to sim years of shoes rubbing on it.
Held up great.
Doing it over a railing helped to open up the carpet fibers, remember a carpet fiber has 4 sides. Why when you shampoo or vacuum you go back n fourth in two directions to get all sides.
Used a wire brush as I sprayed to make sure all sides got coated and it didn't bunch up or clump. Rembmer the carpet is just plastic, it may says dye on the can but its just paint with a flex agent.
Been 4-5 yrs, still looks nice.

Re: help with carpet
2nd to last pic is backwards, sub box sits behind me, I don't run the flip down back but do keep 1 seat bottom in the car. Its a two seater car, gotta be desperate to wanna ride in the back with my rear STB in your back.
I like it that way.
Like having a truck or dare I say fiero, you can keep all your friends from wanting to pile in for a ride. [can't ride in the back here.]
Which I use to not understand until I could drive and had 30 people try to crame in my car all the time.
Though I do have a station wagon too, stock it seats 9 comfy.
[backwards facing 3rd row.]

Re: help with carpet
Whoa, I am by no means full of money, and I also have a girlfriend, 2 kids, a mortgage, a truck payment, etc. When I redid the interior of my last little project, I used my tax return. I just had to do some research and find the best deal. I purchased the passenger and hatch carpet pieces as well as the upholstery kit for the seats for right around $600(the carpet was about $300, and the rest was the upholstery) by doing a google search for classic industries discount codes, and as far as results go, I think it was money well spent(although I kind of wish I had went with black carpet once I got the seats done and installed).
