Headliner Installation

I just bought an ABS plastic covered headliner for my 85 camaro. Just wondering if the trim, domelight, and sun visors are the only thing that holds it up. I see white clips on the sides of the roof but doesn't look like I can attach them to the plastic board. I had no headliner in the car when i bought it so dont know how it came out.

Thanks
Joe

Re: Headliner Installation

There should also be a plastic trim piece at the rear edge (just in front of the hatch glass) that also supports the headliner.

Yep. The original clips aren't reused, and the new headliner should stay up just fine. Just be sure that you don't trim ALL the fabric away from the holes. Get a friend to help you hold it up, then cut away only enough to allow the visor brackets, dome light, and seat belts through. I learned that the hard way and now I have to re-do mine.
