As far as I know, the '88 cluster will physically fit in the dash opening, but you will likely need to use the dash/cluster trim from the '88 IROC too. Also, the '91 uses an electronic speedometer, while I believe that the '88 is mechanically driven, so you would have to remove the VSS currently installed on your transmission and replace it with a mechanical gear/cable unit.

The short answer is yes, it will fit, but it is not 'plug and play', and it will require some additional parts besides the cluster to correctly install it and make it work.

I believe the opening is totaly different, as the 90-92 dashes were more rounded everywhere, and like said above you would have to change your electric speedo to cable.

The older circle style gauge clusters will not work in the newer clusters. The speedo is mechanical on the older ones and the speedo is electronic on the newer ones. Not to mention the shape of the cluster is totally different IIRC. Im assuming you want the speedo cause it goes to 145mph??

If so, purchase a 145 designed for the 90-92 cluster--half moon with yellow markings, electric as mentioned.
