87 IROC auto shift plate compared to later years

I was wondering if they are interchangeable? I want to go to the later year because they have the shift indicator whereas mine doesn't. Is this pretty straightforward when it comes to bolting the new one in? Any other components needed other than the shift plate itself? I'm talking with a member now on an 89 shift plate he has for me. Just want to double check before I purchase. Thanks.

It should work just fine without anything, I'd rather have the look of the early style over the later though. Moving to Interior where you'll likely get more answers.

My shift plate is cracked in the corner anyhow. I actually prefer the later year though because of the shift indicator. Thanks for the response though on the interchangeability.
