Tach mounting position.

Was wondering where some of you mount aftermarket tachs
in your firebirds (large 5" jobs with shift light)

Ive seen some photos of camaros on here with them in,
but they have a different dash layout and fit nicely
to the right of the dials,
but the TransAm dont seem to have any where handy to
place one
and i dont want it on bolted on top of the dash.

So, where have you fitted them?

Thanks.

Re: Tach mounting position.

well i no a lot of people make custom dash for aftermarket tach and such. The guy i got my camaro from had someone install a tach under the ac vents. It has a shift light too, but it doesnt do much good if my cars an auto lol

Here's a pic of mine. It's a little tight on the fingers when he wheel is all the way up. But who drives that way? I know I don't.
