Which one is correct for a 1982 TA?

I have conflicting information on which door panel emblem is correct for a 1982 TA. These are the disks that go into the old window crank hole on the door panel.
Both have a black enamel background, but one has the outline of the bird in silver, the other also has the outline of the bird in silver but with a red center.
Which one is correct?

Thanks!
Chris

They both are. The red one was used on earlier cars while the silver was used on later cars. My 6/82 built 1982 Trans Am has the silver emblems. I recall seeing a thread here on TGO years ago with the approx. time the emblem changeover happened. The majority of the '82s I've seen have had the silver emblem.

Thank you....that clears that up! Now I just have to find out which one they used for the TA in Knight Rider!
