My old headliner had a family of mice living in it and so i Tore it out, smelled horrible. I have basically my whole car replaced with 4th gen interior part minus the plastic trim, and I just found a 4th gen headliner in good shape at a salvage yard for $20, I lined it up in my car and the main part is to short, so I was wondering if anyone has ever somehow cut one to fit and then filled in the missing parts with some other material.

The reason I want to do this is, I cant find a used 3rd gen headliner at any salvage yards, or in classifieds or craigslist and I am on a budget. $200 for a piece of plastic or cardboard seems like a rip off to me.
