4Th Gen seat swap question

I just finished seat swap in my 89 Camaro.Hooked up power seat out of a 97 Camaro.when power is applied to the seat it automaticly moves back by itself.could this be a bad switch on the seat.

Yep. The motor shouldn't see power until the switch is pressed.

Physically, they are a direct bolt-in. Just a difference in the plugs (3rd gen to 4th gen), to plug in electric seats.

I have manual ones in my GTA. Since I'm the ONLY driver of my car & nobody gets in the back seat, there is never a need to adjust mine.

Besides....At 6'5", my seats go ALL THE WAY back, so adjusting the manually wouldn't ever be a big deal for me.

Re: 4Th Gen seat swap question

I heard that fourth gen seats sit lower in 3rd gens? is that true? And when installing 4th gen seats do you switch tracks from the 3rd gen to the 4th gen or use the 4th gen track?

Lower...Yes. Straight swap. No need to change the tracks.

They do sit lower, I used 1/2" spacers to get mine up a bit. I put them between the seat and the track.
