Loose shift ****? Come in here...
I'm not sure if this would work for Camaros, but while I was replacing my console, I figured I would share how I fixed the wobbly shift **** on my Formula. It's pretty simple, all I did was remove the shift ****, and carefully squeeze the two clips a little bit with some vise-grips, and it feels like new again

What do you mean by "loose"? Did your wobble around?

I never had that problem. Was the c-clip inserted?

Yes, the clip was inserted. It is just that somehow over the years, the notch in the shifter rod either wore down a little bit or separated a little bit. I just thought I would just throw this up here in case anyone else had similar issues.

I see, thanks for the info. I wasn't aware the auto shifters could loosen up...
