Speedo swap.

Ok, I have an 89 Formula FB I have brought back from the dead. My FAIL ridden Speedo decided to crap out and from what I can tell it is a devil's mixture of cable and electronic stuff.

No clue as to what is wrong with the speedo and at this point I am thinking of swapping out the thing with a 100% MECHANICAL example. (Can you tell how I feel about all things electrical?).

Any ideas or tips on how best to accomplish this?

Re: Speedo swap.

So close but the article I found was swapping the other way. Trading mechanical for Electric.

Anyone have a diagram of the STOCK speedo set up on an 89 FB Formula? My book seems to be certain I HAVE a mechanical set up and much as I wish it were, this is NOT the case.
