Hey Guys, I have a question for a friend that I don't have the answer to;
There is no RPO sticker in the center console: but this car appears to be a Z/28 optioned Camaro made in California in 1984; (1G1AP87H7EL) T-Tops with the overhead console, (map light - pocket - trip estimator, etc), dual snorkel 5.0, front disc / rear drum, 700R4, big sways and springs; they all appear to be original-equipment parts on his car.

My question, is there some additional location to find the RPO info other than the center floor console glove box on these cars?

 

Probably not. Sometimes there will be a build sheet stashed under the carpet, but it's a crapshoot. It just depends on whether or not the people building the car that day tossed it in the trash, or in the floor of the car.

im not sure if an 84 has this, but have you checked the rear hatch compartment??

 

their really is no place to find out other than the center console or the build sheets what he can do their is a web site were you pay 50 dolars and the send you a repro of the original window sticker you will find out alot about your car with that window sticker and its also nice to have if he ever deceided to put the car in a car show other than that he can try going to his local gm dealership and the can try to run his vin through gm vis he might get lucky because usualy it shows the trim level of the vehicle and if he had any recalls which their is one on 82 through 89 camaros on the seat belt retractors and buckles also on the parking brake
