1AAuto ACC Carpet - Dove Grey or Silver
My RS is now 19 years old and has 117k on it...therefore, the OEM carpet is crap. I had samples sent of both ACC's dove grey and silver carpets sent. Silver matches the carpet, but dove grey matches the console and door panels.
Way, way back...was my carpet the same color as the console and door panels, and it just faded? I'm assuming dove grey is really what my carpet was back in the day. Its frustrating that 1AAuto advertises "OEM colors," when we all know there was one grey, not two!
Thanks to anyone who can help!

We always like to send samples to make sure you guys get exactly the color you want and expect. The color you're used to seeing can often be misunderstood for what the car came with years ago from the factory. The exposed carpet will have faded over the years, so the best spots to look for non-faded carpet would be under the console or under your seats.
As for the multiple colors being listed, the carpet patterns for these cars were the same for many years with only the color options changing. Having different listings for the same part numbers over different years can make things really confusing for the average person. Let us give you options, not headaches

I understand...I appreciate the input. I'll have to check the original carpet again and see which one comes closest...I'm thinking its the darker one, but if anyone has any insight as to what an '88-'92 Camaro carpet should look like color-wise, I'd appreciate it!

The carpet on the doors and console should be the same as the carpet on the floor. In the picture below, you'll notice that the drivers door appears to be the same as the passeger floor. The only reason for the differece on the console in my picture is because of the flash reflection on the carpet pattern. Mine is a match throughout.

I've seen ads list 3 "colors" for carpet//seat covers//etc.
Example--
Doe Skin..Buck Skin..Camel
IDK--maybe Camaro called it X, Trans Am called it X,Fire Bird called it X..??..
It's good you're getting samples from different suppliers.
Post up a photo when you're done.?.

Every OEM has different names & different colors. The aftermarket has their own selection of colors with their own names, which may or may not be a good match. No aftermarket company can hope to accurately reproduce the thousands of colors that were originally used over the years, but there are enough options that you should be able to get close enough. That's why it's a good idea to get samples and decide for yourself instead of going from some pre-determined color selections that some sellers offer.
