Re: universal sliders?
about 99% of the aftermarket seats Sliders will fit front to back.
(they are also off set at the rear)
but will be almost 2" to short to bolt right in..to the Camaro SEAT studs.
if you look at the seat studs in your camaro you will see they are
as wide as almost all the aftermarket seats. but short front to back spacing is 2" to long.. you will need the adapter to bolt to the slider then to the seat stud. (forgive the camaro spelling)..looks like e

you will also have to install a adapter for the rear side to side..as the studs are off set to the outside of the rails.
what i did to install the seats was mod the GM rails to fit the new aftermarket seats. with this adapter.
had to take the GM sliders apart. drill holes in the top of them and run bolts in them & into the new seats.. if the seats sit to High. you can cut the back legs down.. by removing 1" strip out of the Middle of the leg and welding it back to gether..(im 6'4" 300lbs) think football player.
and had to drop my seat down for me.
also NOTE: if your droping the seat down.. you will need to use a pasgr
side seat rail set for the driver side seat.. it sits lower in the front by almost 2" the swap is 100% bolt in..GM only makes so many parts
this is a shot of pasgr side seat rails on the drivers side.
(before refinnish) the factry finnish is parkerizing.. i do this at home.
im a Gunsmith by Hobby..(pays for all my toys)..but you can just paint them if need be.. GM only parks the out side rail.. so the inside will rail is just plane steel..and will have rust on it most of the time..

Below..this is sorta a dark shot. but it shows the aftermarket seat installed.
rails/Sliders. slid all the way back. with factry seat trim cap installed front and back.. just like GM would have done.

Below..this shot shows the pasgr seat installed and the rear seat cap left off for photo. showing factry seat studs getting used and bolted to.
this seat is bolted to uncut seat rails.. and could be cut down and dropped another 1". but i dont ride on that side all that much. will do it this summer so the seats sit the same Hight...just so i know there the same.Hight.if you have power seats like i did.. it's the same swap.

if you want to take your Factry seat rails and use them.
it's EASY.. you will have to take them apart..also easy.
you can also use the alum spacer..GM power seat tracks are also thinner alum so using this as a adapter your making it stronger as it's thicker then what GM uses in the making of there power seat rails..
we will just get that out of the way before someone chimes in..
(like they do)
if you want to use factry GM sliders.. Buy a 2nd set so you dont Cut Up yours..i picked up a 2nd set and used only the pasger side. and used my slider that my car came with on the pasgr side.
(thats why i did not Cut the rear leg down..yet) see the aftermarket seat base sits higher up..sorta thicker padding and thicker base..so the seat needs to sit/drop down about 2" Lower now.
To take the GM sliders apart..
drill out the dimpls you see on the top of the rails go slow. the dimpls hold the rails together.
ill have to see if i took photos..the dimples keep the rails from sliding to much and coming apart. you will be taking them apart to drill the hole so you can bolt them to the aftermarket seat.. when back on the seat they will not come apart..(no worrys)
they have a slight bend to them.. to keep this bend. shim the front or the back (tiltn) the seat what way you like. the shim is only 1/4 to 1/2" NOT MUCH AT ALL.
NOTE: I ALSO SWAPED rear legs on the drivers side to install the pasgr side rails on the drivers side.. to do this:
just drill out the rivets holding the legs onto the rails.
install the other legs onto the rails and use 1/4" gade 8 bolts & nuts. its easy.. this part is done with rails taken apart.
when this is all done cost is under $40 for every thing but the seats..
takes a day to do..longer with out this info..lol..took me 3 days the first time.
to get everything 100% and looking like it came this way from GM.
all the foot work is done now.. and added to my list of mods for my notebook.
And if you like set of aftermarket sliders PM me i have a brand new set
that came with my seats...
(they are also off set at the rear)
but will be almost 2" to short to bolt right in..to the Camaro SEAT studs.

Re: universal sliders?
this shot shows the adapter (if you need one) also tilting the seat back another 1/2" this is stronger then the power seat rails GM installed in the Camaro..IT'S FORGED. not cast. and 2 times has thick.. and only 2" long.the bolts&nuts are grade8 5/16 not a 1/4 rivet (GM)
just so ya know..
if you have the seats now. use a tape and post what the bolt holes are in the seats. ill put together a list of parts you will need to install them.
will need to know how tall you are also.
i need this info so we can get the seats set up so the work 100%
sliding front to back and fit you all the way..(and others)
you see theres more to just tryn to bolt them in.
needs to work with your lap belts also. and you dont want to sit to low..or to High.

this shot also shows the spring return arm still on the rail..I drill out the rivet and removed.
there is other places to MT the Return spring under the seat. (thank you GM)
IF YOUR sorta short(5'2 to 5'10) we use factry GM drivers side rails
if you over 5'10 to 6' then we use pager side rails on the driver side.
if your 6'2 and over we use pasgr side rails on the driver side. and drop the back legs down almost 2"
this keeps the belts fitting you.. and seats working 100% and looks good.
AND FITS the avg Joe the bigboys & the tall lanky guys as well
sorta dark (night)
you can see how low i installed the aftermarket seats with the GM rails.
the seats are made to fit the Camaro now.

this is a shot of what it was before the seat swap drivers side.(power seats). see how hi the factry GM seat is sitting. lowest point... the aftermarket seat sits the same now..

hope this helps a bit..
