Plastic clips

Alright when I bought my 91 camaro the PO decided it would be a good idea to rip off the plastic covering that runs upwards on the inside of the front window and then runs towards the back of the car by the top of the driver door there is one on each side and they busted the plastic clips on the inside and ive looked everywhere trying to find them and i have yet to find ones that fit

ty for any help

Dealership. They aren't cheap. Do a search if you need pics or the part number.

Re: Plastic clips

They were about $2 each in 1997. For a hardtop there are 10 clips, so $20... For clips.

You'd have to check, I'd probably find good used examples of those parts at the salvage yard.

Re: Plastic clips

Also check the Dorman/HELP section at your local big box parts store
or online. They have most of those GM interior clips.

That's what I did I needed the **** for the ac/heater and the guy wanted to sell me the whole thing....I ended up just taking it along with some of the plastic screws.... To make myself feel better, I convinced myself that he had overcharged me for a mirror and glass that I bought.

As for the clips, I'd would say go check your local junk yards first or post on the "WTB" section.

Re: Plastic clips

Some people can remove trim panels without damaging clips. Not me. Looks like GM designed them to be a one time install time saver for workers. I bought replacement "christmas tree" and "a clips" at local GM dealer. Autopart stores seem to only carry replacement christmas tree connectors. I have seen some online thirdgen stores and people on ebay selling packs of connectors. A lot cheaper than going to dealership.

Aren't there special tools that help remove the clips?
