4th gen hvac control
I'm wanting to make alot of things more compact and cleaner looking but trying to maintain a stock look for my interior. My idea is to swap over to getting a 4th gen hvac control using the 3rd gen hvac adapter. I originally had ac but I took it out and only need the heat and fan control. I'm planning on making my own bezel plate to bolt the controls on. I'm curious if there's any wiring that's out there to swap over or if its a direct plug n go. I'm thinking of cutting out a piece of plastic and drilling the holes and put the switches and odometers in to control fan speed and have heat on or off. Basically seems what I'd need since i don't need to elevate the temp of heat just have it on or off. Wander if I could just have a potentiometer in to control the fan speed, rather than having a s/w to control 3 speeds and off? Also looking to take out the levels of where I want the heat to go or maybe have another s/w to control here the heat goes in the vents? But what i'd really like to do is add a aux port on the right...
Just want others ideas and suggestions on this. I'll draw a blue print up of what I want it to look like.

Re: 4th gen hvac control
Guess I'm a little confused still, you are talking about using the 4th gen HVAC controls, but then you show a custom HVAC panel. Are you wanting to use just one of the ***** or something?

Re: 4th gen hvac control
Well after i drew the blue prints I was thinking of changing it up. I just want to be able to turn on an off the fan, and have it be heat or no heat and fan speed. Also looking to add a aux port in the bezel if possible. But just wanting to know if anyone has taken other hvac controls and replaced it or done something differently. I had ac and i took it out so all i need is heat. Also looking to control the levels of where the air is being directed as well.
