what to use for insulation?

ive been searching for a good stick on insulation to do my firewall and floor pans with. im not so much worried about sound deadening i just remember when i had this car on the road alot of heat came through the firewall and pass side floor pan and i want to stop that so the car is more comfortable to drive in the summer. so of all the stuff out there what offers the best insulation and wont break the bank?

I use the stuff laid under household carpeting... Dirt cheap. I could do my whole car for roughly $50, and have leftovers. I'd just make sure to get the stuff that has the blue plastic like stuff on top that helps keep the water away from the floor pans (it's used in bathrooms and other wet places). It's not stick-on, though. You'd need a can of spray adhesive like GM used.

http://www.secondskinaudio.com/ Works great, costs less than dynamat, and isn't asphalt based.

Did you get just the Damplifier, or did you also add the Overkill or Luxury Liner too?

I personally used their Spectrum product for vibration dampening and the Luxury Liner for sound blocking. Spectrum is more effective then the Damplifier but they are comparable nad Damplifier can easier to install.

Worked fantastic.
