Installed New Headliner
Bought an ABS headliner with the material already on it from Classic Industries. I installed it this past Friday with almost perfect results.
1. The headliner does come folded in a box but after leaving it out in the sun for a couple of hours, it did regain its intended shape.
2. Enough extra material was provided for whatever your purpose my be. I would assume to recover the sail panels. They were pretty generous though as I would say it was about the size of my rear cargo cover.
3. The color match was pretty much exact to the old one and the grain pattern I am sure was like the old. I couldn't really tell on the old headliner as it was a total disaster.
4. Had to cut holes for the roof console and did use the the t-top templates that are on this site. Although some minor tweaking was needed. Nothing a very sharp box cutter couldn't fix.
5. The only place where the headliner did not fit perfect was where the roof console switches for the lighting are. There is a small gap on either side of the console. Hopefully when it gets hotter out it will heat up the headliner a bit to cover it. If not, I am sure I can figure out a way to use some of the spare material to hide it neatly.
6. Hope the heat doesn't sag the headliner as I have read on some other posts here. But overall, it was a good, clean install. Took me about 4 hours. Two for the headliner to regain its shape and the rest of the time cutting holes and getting things installed.

Re: Installed New Headliner
That I will. I just hope it doesn't happen though. Come to think of it, I am guessing the reason for the slight gap by the switches in the roof console might be because of the lack of the support piece that I don't have that came with the hard top roof consoles with the standrad fiberglass headliner. I am sure that piece pushed the headliner just a bit for it to fit completely flushed with the console. With this plastic headliner, I don't think that piece would work as the plastic is much more stiffer.
