I just got a '89 IROC with tan interior and the car has a black headliner. The headliner trim looks a bit odd like it might be aftermarket. Can someone with a non-t-top car take a look at these photos and let me know if this looks like an aftermarket trim kit or if this is, in fact, OEM.

Is the headliner trim always black or should it be the same color as the rest of the plastic trim in the car?

It should be the exact same fabric as the speaker covers...

the trim that ur talking about is always black, the piece from dashpad back and then like a foot long piece is black it always is

My '85 with tan interior has the same black trim piecies that you mention but the headliner is tan . My guess is that when the headliner fell (as they all seem to do ) it was replaced with black.
