AC/Heater from the wrong vents

Both my heater and AC work great, and all the settings on the control panel work flawlessly, the hot/cold adjustment slider works, as to the 7 individual options.

However, they only blow through the defroster vent. No matter what setting I use, I get nothing from my front vents. I can feel a draft near my feat both with heater and AC. When I set it to bi-level, i can feel a little bit of a draft from the vents, but not much at all.

Before i go riping apart my dash, are there any specific parts that would cause this? I am not to familiar with the ductwork and such in these cars.

Re: AC/Heater from the wrong vents

i had the same problem with my car a while back . i am not sure what exacly what the part was called but i think it was called the a/c switch. if you take the control unit out on the back side there is a little round piece with i belive 5 vac lines going to it. this piece has a rubber gasket in it that controls where the air goes. this gasket dries out after awhile and needs to be replaced . i did this {real easy to replace} and now my air works great .hopes this works out for you good luck.
also make sure all your vac lines are good under the hood.

Wow I feel dumb. I had replaced all my plugs and wires, and must have dislodged a vacuum line that i didn't notice. Works great now! thanks!
