Trouble Removing Gauge Cluster

I have removed the black bezel and the clear plastic over the front of the gauges. I see two nuts on the backside of the gauge cluster. I left all other dash pieces in tact and bolted. However, I am having an extreme amount of problems trying to get to those nuts. Does anyone have any ideas or shortcuts to make it easier? I am trying to replace the light bulbs.

Thanks.

Re: Trouble Removing Gauge Cluster

i used a socket (10mm i believe, but im not sure) connected to a 150mm extender to get to those far back nuts

but you can just pop the bulbs out of their sockets from the front without taking the whole cluster out

Re: Trouble Removing Gauge Cluster

I have it all put back together now. Thanks to JamesC. I apparently was not looking hard enough. I thought the nuts were underneath the dashboard...when all along they were right next to the light bubls for the seat belt and check engine light. Ever heard of a red head having a blonde moment? Well...now you have. Thanks everyone.
