Turn signal lever help

So my pocket caught the lever as I was getting in the car. Snapped it right off and turned the wipers on. Does anyone have any ideas how to get the piece out thats stuck in there without taking the column apart. I got a new lever already. And it dosen't have cruise s no wires. I've been trying to use a pick set but it just isn't working. Any ideas?

I believe you will have to take the steering wheel off and go from there... there most likely is a bolt inside that is holding the lever in place...

Yeah I'm hoping to not have to take it apart but if I do oh well. Theres like 1 inch stuck in there and I just can't push that tab down to get it out.

Re: Turn signal lever help

I also need to install new turn signal, cruise control lever. I read your instructions and seen diagram. Does it just pull out? I tried pulling it out but maybe didnt pull hard enough, in fear of beaking it off in there. I thought maybe there was a screw holding it in, and i had to take the column apart. help
