If you wish, a search will probably locate info on cup holders.

You might want to buy a replacement console top. These chronometers are kind of rare and the clock / console top combo can probably fetch some money. I put a cup holder exactly where the chronometer goes by using a hole saw and putting in a black cup holder from a boat store. It cradles a 12 oz soda can perfectly and the color matches the console top really well. I used black silicone (rather than epoxy) to bond it into place so I can pull it out later if I need to for servicing.

I didn't have the clock in mine (1992), but I cut the hole as mentioned and inserted the cup holder. I got it off ebay, search "poker table cup holders" and you'll see alot of different sizes. The poker table holders are short though, I cut the bottom off one and glued it to another, so that it was deep enough to hod a can and still allow me to rest my arm on the center console lid and hold the shifter.
If your thinking of selling the clock, PM me - I'd be interested if it works and is in good shape.

I have console clocks installed in both my 86 and 89 Irocs.IMO its one of the cooler options that came on the camaro.I always have people asking me about it since its so uncommon.I also have quite a few of them as spares

I wanted to ditch my console clock for a cup holder when I first got the car too, but then I learned about how rare the clocks are, and I grew to appreciate it. Now I consider it to be an essential part of my interior.
