Hawks OEM Replacement Sunvisors
I bought these to replace my old ones as the previous owner chewed them up a bit latching the convertible top.
Anyways, they dont come with the holes for mounting the passenger side vanity mirror like the OEM. Further, if you manage to drill the holes without popping out the other side (takes lots of patience and care) you still cant mount them as the re-makes are made solely of cardboard and have no 1/4" MDF in the center. The cardboard just has no strength to hold its hole shape.
It seems odd tio me that Hawks does not mention this on the website that you cannot mount the mirror. I contacted them and they did not seem to care and said nobody else has mentioned this.
Anyways, just a heads up. Other than that they look nice. The mounting screw is larger and silver rather than black like the OEM.

Re: Hawks OEM Replacement Sunvisors
I just had mine redone by a local upholstery shop. They came out looking fantastic and as close to original as you can get. The innards were reused and the shop even put the mirror back on the passenger side. I'm happy with the way they turned out.

Re: Hawks OEM Replacement Sunvisors
That's what I wish I did now. And will have to now.
I also bought a recovered steering wheel at the same time and it is fine. I bought a 5-speed sticker overlay too and it is a bit too big and you can catch the underside and rip it off.
I was planning on buying the new convertible header panel as well as eventually get the door panels. I'm not risking buying either anymore.
