87 dash into a 83..
hey im buying a 87 berlinetta this weekend and his dash has the mph and gas gauges as the big ones instead of mph and tach like mine. can i swap these dashes over and just replug the wires into the appropriate plugs or will i have to do sum cuttin lol. reason being, i hate how some people have a tach on their dash but have a aftermarket tach mounted next to it. i dont like the look of the same two gauges next to each other. (not dissing y'alls cars, they look excellent..just my opinion)

Re: 87 dash into a 83..
Well I putted 83(or 84) dash into a 87 Firebird. Don't know for camaros, but the instrument cluster wiring plug had to be re-pinned. I think no cutting is needed, just search for instrument cluster pinout for both of them and then just match the right signal wires(colors may vary, but most of them are the same color i belive) You can get wires off the plug with a small "minus" screwdriver...not so much room there by the way, so be calm. Hope this info helps...
