A bitter-sweet installation

I just finished installing my new gauge cluster today. Most things went without a hitch, but there are a few things that bug me. Some of my gauges don't light up. I think a wire has come apart. I don't have enough speedometer cable to hook up the speedometer. Not hard to solve, but i don't want to take all this stuff apart again. My main problem is that the Fuel Gauge doesn't want to read correctly. It Reads 1/2 even when it's full. With the old setup, It always read 1/8th. When i had the old gauge in there, i just thought it was probably the gauge. Now i know there's a problem with the sender. Does anyone know where i can score one of these for a 1982 Camaro? I would like to have a NEW one.

A cluster from what year? Also, if I may ask, what was the reason for the swap?

Re: A bitter-sweet installation

I got all the gauges working now. This is the first time that i've had a working Speedometer since i've owned the car. Feels great. The old cluster probably worked, but this one looks cooler. The Speedometer didn't work because the Exhaust pipe had burned a hole in it. The new one previously didn't work because the Cable was JUST too short. I fixed that today. Now all i have to do to get this thing to pass inspection is put some tires on it and put some brakes on it. At some point i'm also going to fix the AC. Since this is my Toy and NOT a restoration, I went with some Aftermarket Gauges. There WILL be more that i do to this and all of it will be well done. I don't intend to Half-*** any of it.

I'm not familiar with that set-up. More info, if you please.

That's the standard aftermarket blank panel, and the Gauges are the iEquus 8000 Series. You can get the full complement from O'Rielly's. They look good and the function seems to be good too. One of the things i really like is the Speedometer has a Trip Odometer.
