Auto meter gauges

Auto meter gauges

Hello im new to theforum but not new to "forums" I've been searching for older threads concerning installing autometer gauges, im not sure what is needed besides the gauges i have the fuel, temp meter, What would i need to install the speedometer and tachometer? i removed the cluster out thinking i could wire and splice these guages and meters using the factory hooks up but thats not going to happen any input is useful

If your putting in a electronic speedo in,you'll need the sender in the link below.tacho needs power,ground and tach signal wire.Fuel gauge needs,power,ground,and fuel level sender wire.Temp gauge,needs power,ground and connection to the temp sender at the left side head.This applies to electrical gauges,not mechcanical ones.

You need to make sure that you have THE RIGHT fuel Gauge. The senders have different voltages depending on the Make of the car. If your original wiring harness is intact, you can just get a Diagram of your car and trace based on color. That's what i did. Took about an hour of sitting in a hot car, but it was well worth it.
