fixing a bent seat?

I got a set of free 4th gen seats(not leather) a few days ago. I got them all in perfectly but when i went to sit in the driver seat i noticed it felt weird on my shoulders. i told my parents and my friend to sit in it and tell me if they felt anything weird, and they said "no its just cause im taller it feels different". i pulled it out and put it back in thinking i aligned it incorrectly, but that wasnt it. Maybe ill have to pay someone to bend it? I have no idea. Thanks for the help.

Re: fixing a bent seat?

yup, that looks bent. I'll bet that the seat's previous occupant was VERY large. That's the only thing that i could think of. But why would someone that size drive a car like a Camaro?

Replace it, cuz sooner or later it'll break! Mine did, had to drive around w/ plastic box wedged behind it till I replaced it....

The more you bend it the weaker it'll get. Try bending it back, what have you got to lose???

I suppose that was a bit insensitive of me to say. Besides, i'm bordering on too large myself 6'3" and 260 Lbs. These cars were definitely not made with larger people in mind.

Re: fixing a bent seat?

my attempt at bending it back was embarrassing. just a bunch of cussing.

maybe its possible to remove the material and have a straight shot of just bending the metal inside? dont know if thats possible cause ive never seen the inside of a seat.

If not i guess i better start shopping for a new one. suggestions?
