Power window/hatch switches interchange?

Power window/hatch switches interchange?
Do the various styles of power window and hatch switches interchange? I know there are cosmetic differences, but I'm not worried about that. Just want to know if I can plug in some of the later-style switches into my 83 Zs.

Yep, same plug. Some white, some yellow, function identical

Yep....but the windows won't interchange with the hatch. the hatch will work on the vert cover

Yeah, perhaps different color or print, but structurally and electrically identical
