using the electronic boards for digital gauges

I am totally new to this, but I am working on my 86 firebird, to do a knight rider feel to the car. I cant do replica as it is an 86 v6 with no t-tops, but i thought if I could do most of the interior redesign, I would be happy. I am wondering if anyone knows if I can reuse the electronics from the dash gauges I have to introduce digital gauges?

Re: using the electronic boards for digital gauges

also I was hoping someone might have the diagrams, and/or schematics for the KITT front nose Scanner... I have most of the parts, and will build it myself, but I want to be sure of the PCB. and the layout
