4th Gen Rear Seats question?

I just installed a set of 4th Gen Seats out of a 95 Bird and I was wondering what those that have installed the 4th Gen Seats did about the bar in the center of the backseats where the original 3rd Gen split back rear seats were?

Re: 4th Gen Rear Seats question?

I chose to take the 3rd gen rear seats to an upholstery shop and they used the fabric from the 4th gen back to recover the 3rd gen split backs. That way I retained the orginal look and function of the split back seat uprights but with new (used) covers that matched the 4th gen fronts. Turned out really well and looks factory good. Going that route alowed me to keep the center bar.

Thats a good idea. I just kept the bar there despite the fact that it is partly exposed. My original seats were in mint condition so I figure if I ever need to switch back the bar will still be there.
