Turn Signal Lever Fell off!

I was driving home a couple days ago and when I was making the turn the lever pulled right out of the steering column. I can still push it back in and singal with it, but it falls right out once I pull. What do you guys think? The lever has been hard to get the signals to work, do you guys think I should just buy a new lever?

If I do buy a new lever how hard is it to install?

Unless its broken off, there should be a hole in the end of the lever. The lever is retained on the signal cam with a screw and requires pulling the steering wheel and some of the column guts to axcess it.

GM multi function levers are held in with a retainer ring inside the multi function switch. Changing levers is as simple as grabbing and pulling, push it back into it's bore and push it gently till it snaps fully into place, if it does not, the retainer inside the multi function switch has fallen out or is broken and you will need a new multi function switch, this requires collum disassembly
