Ok I have no idea how the heating system is even ran on a car. Mine has been removed by the previous owner and it's getting cold guys. As of right now I have no defrost/heater and I need it. Anyone know where I can find the stock routing and basically just the 411 on the hell I can rig something up? I've got a 91 parts car, I just need the know how.

Oh and this might not have been the ideal section but I didn't really know where to put it.

 

Did your car have A/C originally? Does the blower fan work? Can you change where the air comes out of the vents? Are the heater hoses connected to the core on the firewall?

 

Yes it did originally. The car was completely stripped by the po though. I still have the control panel in the dash but nothing works. I'm not sure what to look for on the firewall but there's no hoses hooked up at all...let me go snap a pic of what I think I should be looking at...

To start with you need a new blower box and fan.

 

Like I said I have a parts car. I'm guessing that mounts where he's got it blocked off. Mainly I just need to find a routing or something. I've really got no clue how any of this is ran.

 

It mounts right over top of it. Then you'd need to try plugging in the electrical connectors to see if the fan works, and then the hoses to the heater core. If the vent selector lever doesn't work, check the vacuum connections.

If the parts car is complete, just keep track of how everything goes together as you take it apart.

 

Engine has been removed but I'm sure everything else is there. I guess that would be the smart thing to do. Thanks for answering my dumb questions. lol
